I know this guy, he didn't take the cross ram 413 out, he bought it like that. he's not the kind of guy that would split parts off a rare car.

Are you sure it's the same car? I"ll find out. if he did then yeah, it's a bit stink alright, taking the rams off is one thing but the whole # correct engine is not so good.

Ok, aparently yes, it is the same car & the guy down south took the engine out before he sold it so... shame on him! Yip, It's a pretty rare car in this country (although not as rare as my van haha!) there is another 300J with the 413 & rams intact hiding in a barn up this way.

I think I know exactly where that 413 is now, I've seen one in the south, gave me wood . . . never seen one in person before. I have seen crossram engines with the real cool swoopy cast iron exhausts but this 413 had cast iron headers, just like long tube headers but cast iron, way way cool & they were perfect, no cracks at all. The engine is destined for something very very different but don't worry too much It will be one cool Mopar when it's done, trust me I've seen what this guy can do!

That guy in Chch has another cross ram 383 aswell. The 413 you are talking about would be a '62 max wedge engine, yeah, the cast iron headers are damn cool alright & the intake manifolds are awesome!

Not alot of people know that the air cleaner lids on the max wedge engines were only used on them & nothing else... except for the export Aussie/NZ 160hp slant six! last pic is of the mythical quad quad cross ram intake.

The ones on the 300J are quite different from the max wedge setups, I can't find any pics on the web so I'll take some next time I'm in his shed. Here are the part numbers (I think)- 2402781 exhaust manifold 1963-1964 413 300J 300K right 2402782 exhaust manifold 1963-1964 413 300J 300K left
