I've been putting it off for sometime now but these things dont fix themselves. I cut open the scuttle for a look inside the plenum. Ugly but not as ugly as I expected. The bottom of the plenum was paper thin so ended up cutting it right back to solid steel. I have spare panels so I'm currently triming back the replacement panel(s) to fit. Its much trickier than I thought. The drivers side looks about the same so I think I'll be doing these section for a few weeks. Will post when finished.

Well the drivers side is in a shocking state and I ended up with an A pillar problem as well. Felt a bit deflated for a few days but eventually got stuck in and replaced the A pillar. Still need to do the plenum and the spare one I have has rust in the same place as the car...probably repairable but because the area is suseptable to leak, I'm looking for a better one.

Some of you may remember whether I should go VJ versus VH nose cone. Because I have Chrysler by Chrysler front wheel guards, whether I went VJ or VH determined where I welded the mountings for the front lights as the Chrysler by Chrysler wheel guards do not have the bucket mountings for the lights. Then Karl said "Why dont you go the VJ Twin light front end". I had a look at one with a Regal nose and  I thought that was a good idea and thanks to forum member 4evaval, I ended up with a regal twin light nose cone. Just to see if they fit, I've loosely bolted them on.  It doesn't look to bad BUT.... I think the lower chrome which I took off my VH grille isn't quite right.

Planning to paint out the grill black before it goes back on permanently. While I wait for a plenum.........waiting.....waiting.....waiting.... I'll pull the engine out and think about sending it off for a date with the media blaster.....

Regal twin headlight grille looks pretty good on a charger. Something different.
